A scrapper with the legacy of Celtic warriors and the fae of yore. If his cunning illusions and tricks don't crush you...his menhir-sized muscles will!

Many a spellbreaking federation would do just about anything to get their hands on a fighter with 'legendary blood', a somewhat problematic term for those born from lineages of heroes, demigods, great sorcerers, or divine creatures. Cian is one such fighter, hailing from a family descended from a race of enchanted beings respectfully called The Shining Ones, also known as the fae or aes sídhe. These immensely powerful creatures were said to possess prudence and grace--yet were  equally capable of devious mischief and wrath.

Guess which of those qualities Cian inherited?

Cian was born in County Meath, the sixth of seven siblings. According to family tradition, his seventh sibling, the child of his father (the seventh child in his own family) was to inherit the gifts of the aes sídhe---something the family hoped would lift them out of hard times. Instead, Cian expressed 'the gift' instead, and his little brother Connor was born without a glyph or any magical aptitude. As such, both Cian and Connor were both ostracized and cruelly treated by the rest of the family, especially as Cian's mother had died giving birth to his brother.

After enduring their father's abuse for long enough, Cian and Connor ran from home, vowing to earn enough money to give their other siblings a better life. Cian began to believe his family was cursed by the fae, rather than blessed, and became a street brawler--defending his little brother from all manner of ill-treatment. This traumatic childhood may explain Cian's cynicism, quick temperament, and a permanent chip on his shoulder.

Cian and his brother were eventually adopted by a band of Travellers, who took note of Cian's combat abilities and his brother's talent for music and dance. However, Cian had to conceal his gifts due his adopted family's superstitions and intense dislike for enchanted beings. Eventually, Cian was noticed by a fight promoter and taken in for training. Afraid he would eventually be caught and compromise Connor's safety, he tearfully said goodbye to his little brother, who went off with the Traveller's on their journeys.

Cian ended up jobbing for better spellbreakers, something that did not help shift his bitter attitude. After finally winning a few fights, he was noticed by Firebird Spellbreaking who took him on as a new recruit. But after losing his first match (where he met Spike), they abandon him to his own fate. Colt, however, saw promise in Cian and offered him a spot at the Global Spellbreaking Alliance. It was an offer Cian happily took.

Because of his upbringing, Cian is not quick to let anybody get too close to him, and is sometimes combative towards his fellow spellbreakers--especially Spike. Even so, there appears to be two sides to this warrior. When he lets his guard down, he is capable of compassion and is a fiercely loyal friend. Cian is also very mischievous, happily pulling pranks on new recruits and his friends alike. He is the quintessential trickster. To those who see through his deceptions, however, he is bound by blood to bestow favor.

Cian is still adjusting to his powers. Cian possesses the glyph Cogito, the Glyph of the Mind and its ability to exert influence on other's will and perception. In Celtic magicakl traditions, this glyph is sometimes referred to as the 'Faebrand', as it is believed to be the same glyph expressed by the Unseen Ones. As such, Cian often likes to make himself appear more physically intimidating during matches, going so far as to create the illusion of his arms appearing as the carved stones of fairy mounds. Another favorite tactic of his is creating after-images of himself or mirage duplicates to throw his opponents off his trail. He may even be able to exert brief mental control over his opponents.

By far, Cian's deadliest power is something called 'Blood Frenzy', a gift (or curse) passed down by his legendary blood. In particularly intense battles, Cian will go into a berserk 'frenzy' state, mercilessly and ferociously assaulting his opponents, and almost always securing a brutal win. As he is still trying to harness this power, it's sometimes a toss-up as to whether or not it will activate during a match...but it's always wise to be on guard when going up against this brawler, as 'the unexpected' his favorite weapon.

Cian learned fighting from the streets, so he was raised on a healthy diet of dirty tactics and more honorable Traveller pugilism. However, he is a huge fan and emulator of Brit Pro wrestling, finding his deadly legs better utilized than his knuckles. He comes to the ring with an arsenal of dangerous grappling and submission style moves. His Spear of Cullen is a powerbomb with the added touch of his illusions, often making it appear as if he slamming his opponent onto a more dangerous--or deadly--surface-, causing their brain to think they're experiencing greater damage than they actually are.

If these mind-manipulating tactics fail him, there's Cian's much preferred--and infinitely more painful--Pillars of Sacrifice, an absolutely brutal scissor hold that's broken a few rib cages and necks in his short stint. Whether he does it to your torso or neck is up to how sadistic he's feeling...or how much you've pissed him off. Especially troublesome opponents may even find themselves in an embarrassing (or rewarding) figure-four head, in which case they'll be crushed while becoming intimately acquainted with Cian's singlet logo. Those tree-trunk legs of his aren't just for show!

There's a reason why Cian is nicknamed 'The One Man Tag-Team'! He can create an illusory 'double' with his magick. Mind over matter, his opponent's perceive his 'twin' as genuine, and he hits just as hard! Fittingly, Cian is a Gemini....

Cian loves two things: bullying Spike, and putting opponents in his Pillars of Sacrifice. Here he is enjoying the best of both worlds.

Cian's casual outfit. A gym addict, Cian is proud of his deadlifting abilities. Here he is wearing the official T-shirt of his favorite Celt Rock group, 'The Dropkick Banshees'. They're a real scream!

Battle Quotes:

“Submit now...while you still have the chance."

“Who you callin' faerie, boyo?”

Briseadh agus brú ar do chnámha!

“How do these legs taste, boyo?”

*When Blood Frenzy activates* “FEED...ME...YOUR....PAIN!”

“A worthless sacrifice. Put this one in the dirt.
